FIREFLY Intumescent Acrylic Sealant White 310ml

FIREFLY FR Intumescent Acrylic is a water based sealant, used to provide a fire-rated seal to joints, gaps and around penetrations.

It must be used when installing a FIREFLY FB180 Batt system, in order to provide a tested and certified solution.

Up to 4 hours fire protection.

• Integral component of a tested FIREFLY FB180 Ablative Batt system
• Forms a fire and smoke seal in linear joints up to 35mm wide
• Suitable for penetration seals around metal pipes
• Flexible formulation, tolerates movement of up to +/- 12.5%
• Acoustic testing to BS EN 10140-2, offers a 55dB sound reduction

Applications:

• Must be used when installing FB180 Batt system, in order to provide a tested and certified solution
• Should be applied to all cuts, joints and exposed edges of the FB180 Batt, as well as around penetrations
• Suitable as a linear joint seal in various substrates, including concrete, softwood, hardwood, steel, and gypsum board
• Vertical & horizontal use
• Seals joints up to 35mm without slumping
• ISO 11600:2002, movement +/- 12.5% accommodation

Curing:

• Skin time: 15 – 60 minutes depending on conditions
• Cure time: 5 – 15 days for a 15 x 20mm bead
• Painting, suitable after cured
